First off, I would like to thank everyone here for assisting me with the purchase of my S&W 19-3. It has been one of the BEST firearm purchases of my life!

As many of you will understand, I would like to purchase some nice grips for this revolver, in order to preserve the "factory" grips that are in pristine condition. I like to shoot a lot, and I want to keep the factory grips in the condition they are now.

Now, I need some help with the selection/purchase of said new grips. Specifically, I am looking for NICE looking wood grips with finger grooves. Considered rubber grips, but I don't think they would look too nice with that bright BEAUTIFUL blued finish on the 19.

I have looked and drawn a blank. I have found it extremely hard to decide when all I get is a 1"/1" stock photograph.

I desperately need advice from those of you with the first hand experience of the 19's grips.

Also, if anyone has any FOR SALE, I would be more than happy to take them off your hands and compensate you accordingly.

Thanks guys!

Hogue makes good stuff. Cocobolo and Pau Ferro are my faves but there are many other options.

Kim Ahrends is also stellar IMO.

I'm a huge fan of Badger Custom Grips (http://www.badgercustomgrips.com/). They aren't too expensive, they are great looking and they are comfortable to shoot. What's not to like?

Check out Herrett grips. Pricey, but nice. And custom.
