30mm and 1 inch refer to the scope's tube diameter. Measure your scope. It will be 1"

The rings you received on that scope are probably for a grooved 22 rimfire receiver. You need weaver style rings to fit that rail

thanks, so is there a difference between 30mm and 1 inch rings, which would be for my scope?

I know about the rail but I need new rings and dont know what size rings to get

As Smokey explained, you need 'Weaver style' rings in 1" DIAMETER to fit that scope tube--30mm rings are too large.

The ring HEIGHT (how high they set above the rail) loosely depends on the diameter of the scope's objective bell And where/how you position your cheek on the stock--in your case, you probably can use 'low' or 'medium' height 1" rings that are Weaver-style(which are made by many manufacturers, incl. Weaver).

You need 1" rings, low or medium height (depending upon your stock), for a piccatinny rail or Weaver type mount (these will work, but may require a re-zero if you mount and dismount them). The Weaver Tactical rings (http://www.weaveroptics.com/rings_bases/tactical/6_holepicatinnyring.aspx) are pretty inexpensive and have performed well IME, though any ring would likely work well enough for a rimfire.

Have fun!---BTW--you can also put 'Weaver See-Thru' 1" rings on, which are elevated and open (below the scope tube where it sets in the rings), and may allow you to use your BUIS if you have them.

Enjoy.

BTW--you can also put 'Weaver See-Thru' 1" rings onNooooooo! That generally creates a situation where both sets of sights (scope and irons) cannot be used properly as it makes a proper cheek weld impossible, particularly for the optics. I find it is best to use QD style rings and just remove the scope altogether if you want to use both (which is a good idea IMO, especially for a hunting rifle).

Maverick-- I definitely agree with you re: the 'see-thru's--they make for a poor cheek-weld for most shooter's.
I was just giving the OP another option--not necessarily recommending it. Thanks for pointing out the disadvantages.
