The military uses the Peltor Com TAC. They are considered the best. I also have personally used the Peltor Tactical 6 S.

I've used both the Peltor Com Tacs (brother's) and the Peltor Tactical 6S (mine). The Com Tacs are great and for that price, they're even better.
The Peltor Tactical 6S is less than $150 and is a great buy. Protection is great and doesn't attenuate when I don't want it to. I dig them for their ability to fold up and become a very small package. The Com Tacs are even smaller.
I've used my Tactical 6S in a two weekend shotgun course. After the first weekend, I threw them in my range box (forgetting to turn BOTH the left and right sides off) and drove home with a few collegues. Fast forward seven days and I pull them out of my range box, quickly noticing that they were still on. I snapped them on my melon and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they were still ticking.
BTW, is that price for two comtacs or just one??

I sell the Tactical 6 S for $120 and the price on the Com TAC is $220 apiece.
Thanks,
