Hey there. Shopping for a hi-capacity full size 9mm for my wife to carry in the car. She really likes the XDm. Anybody have any feedback on it's ability to shoot any ammo out there without problem? (I'm asking if it will shoot anything, like the Beretta 92)
Thanks in advance

I have a 9mm xdm 3.8 and it's a great pistol. It holds 20 rounds, will shoot them as fast as you can pull the smooth, reliable trigger, and is a real pleasure to hold. Accuracy is very good.
You won't know what I mean unless you fire about 50 rounds from one. It's one sweet pistol.

I have an XD9 4". After about 500 rounds, I started having problems with stove pipes and the slide would not lock. I contacted Springfield, and they gave me a return authorization number, and asked me to ship the gun back to them free of charge via FedEx. A week later the gun was back at my house with a new extractor.
All guns will have problems eventually. XDs have a reputation for eating anything trouble free. That was the case with mine until the extractor failed. What is important, though, is how committed the manufacturer is to its product and customer service. In the case of Springfield, their customer service is top notch. All it took was a brief call and they emailed me the RA#.
I would definitely buy another pistol from them because they sell a good product and because they back it up with excellent customer service.
