I've been noticing something lately among shooting enthusiasts in my area that bothers me. A good percentage of the local shooters are big into stockpiling for SHTF situations. They have Glocks buried in random places, stored round counts in the thousands, MRE stashes and the like. What I've noticed though is that a good majority of them are ridiculously out of shape. I don't mean a little too much for dinner...I mean there's some serious gut going on over here. What I'm wondering is if you're the type to prepare for SHTF situations then how high up do you rank fitness? Sure you may be ready to unload 1000 rounds into the oncoming hoards, but when you run out of ammo will you be able to run 10 miles to get away or get to more supplies? Just a curious question and would love to know where some of you stand on the matter.

What will be your achilles heel if SHTF?
Lack of scenario-specific training.

ps
If I have to run 10 miles to evade a threat, I need to bring more bullets to the fight.

Who needs to run when you can get a bicycle?

Mine will be having to close SHTF threads as STILL being off-topic while the zombie paratroopers come through my roof. :(
