Daisy or another "smith" for refurb

I have an old Daisy Red Ryder (or is it Rider) BB gun that needs to be refurbished- just for sentimental reasons, not for value (ha!). It used to be my dad's and I was kind of hoping to pass it down to my son in a few years. It needs a few parts and some rust removed, among other things. I have neither the aptitude nor time to do it myself. Any suggestions where I could send it for a resurrection? Back to Daisy? Is there someplace else you might suggest? It is probably 1940's vintage.

The only place I know that specialized in air guns was a place called "Mac One". It's been years since I talked to Tim though. They were in Los Angeles County.

I'll second the vote for Mac-1 Airguns in California. Tim has always done right by me and the tune his Benjamin/Sheridan technician can put on a rifle is amazing.
Do a search for Mac 1 airguns on google and it should show up- I lost the link...

Thanks. I contacted Tim. His terse reply was "I don't work on Daisy." No other suggestions. OH WELL.
