Well, my partner and I finally got our furs back from the winter. I had a bobcat, and he had a coyote, bobcat and a fox. The coyote will be a few weeks more, but here are the two kitties and the fox. Just in time for the start of predator season too, I'll be heading out this weekend for the first time since march. Exciting stuff. They came out pretty good I think.

My daughter (18 months) with his cat. She wanted to go "night night" on it:p

Had a bobcat done for a friend locally a couple of years ago. His boy shot it on my place. Took the guy over a year to get it back from the tanner. He promised when I picked it up that he was changing tanners, but I don't know if I get a skin if I'll get HIM to do it. LOL

Nice job on those.

I was deer hunting in ne fl about 5 years ago. I saw 4 or 5 does traveling together. They were just walking, but the last one to cross was acting funny. I figured something was up and I was already ready when out came a big tom. I pulled the hammer on my .30-30 and just as we made eye contact I nailed him. I took him to my taxidermist as this was my first cat and they weighed him as it was the biggest cat they had ever seen. He weighed right at 47 lbs. I have a lot of respect for these critters. Once, during small game season I was just driving around and saw a lot of scratch marks and hair in the road. I got out and walked about 20 feet into the woods and found a smallish deer that had been completely eaten except for it's head. I figured the cat killed it and the coyotes finished it off. It was still fresh.

We sent them to usafoxx.com in Duluth MN. Total came to about $65 apiece after shipping and fleshing charges. Would be half that if I would have fleshed and dried myself.
