Hello again.

I have a question for you Steyr Forester or Pro-Hunter owners. These rifles are magazine fed. Can you load them single shot or must you load from the magazine?

If you follow this (http://www.steyr-mannlicher.com/index.php?id=99) and open the "SBS System" sub-link on the picture of the rifle, it brings up a picture of the bolt. It shows a bolt that's fully-enclosed, which says to me that it's a "Push Feed" action, and it may therfore be fed both from the magazine and from the hand. All of the controlled feed actions I've seen are open at the bottom, which allows the cartridge to slide up the boltface and be captured by the claw extractor.

Educated guess, but I could be wrong.

I can feed my pro hunter single by hand. Not a problem for me
