If HK Opened a Plant in the US...

....what would you like to see happen?

Assuming the ban stays in place, a G36 in 7.62 with a pinned open stock that takes M1A magazines would be the ticket.

If the ban goes away...then heck. Semi-auto G36 baby!

And start selling the P2000s already!

A less expensive USP would be nice.

Better availability too.

Or maybe I can watch in horror as German Proofmarked USPs start commanding a premium. :what:

MP5K-PDW, a MP5/10 and a PSG-1 (which *might* be cheaper if made here!).

I'd like to see them re-introduce the SL7 and SL6. We're not allowed to have pistol grips on rifles because it's been documented and studied that pistol grips increase the liklihood that you'll commit a crime.

I need to leave CA anyway because my bride won't marry me unless I buy an HK91.

Like living next to an HK plant will do me any good. I'm STILL waiting for the P2003! This is taking longer than videogames.

M1A Mags? No, FAL mags!

Seriously, if they could make post-ban domestic-flavored G36's that took AR mags for less than $1200, I'd buy one ASAP.

I'd like to see a G36s and new HK-91, and HK-94 production.

While I'm dreaming, I'd like to see a HK-21E as well.

a) I'm all for HK opening a US plant.
b) I hope Americans will develop a large demand for military-style 7,62s from HK.
c) I hope HK will produce them.

because d) I hope they'll re-import them to Germany. :D

A stainless P7 in 40, although 45 would be great also.
I don't care for the USP, doesn't fit my hand well.

I can see Skunk working there for peanuts and taking full advantage of the employee discount. Skunk, don't forget your bros here at THR.

Skunk, don't forget your bros here at THR.

Yes. I will be the aesthetics consultant.

"Well, the rifle looks great sir, but what it REALLY needs is a carbon fiber finish on the magazine baseplate." :D

Or I could be the 'operators' in all their posters and magazine ads.

"Tactical professionals choose the SLB2000K for close quarters combat. Because you can't get an HK91 any more!"

"In a world of magazine compatibility...some don't." :D :D :D

Actually;

If HK Opened a Plant in the US...

They should hang a friggin' picture of me on the wall as a benevolent benfactor after all the money they have got from me.

Making all those black products that I just had to have....
USP this MP that...

Dramatic price reduction on P7's (hopefully!)...:D

HK will not open a plant here since the demand doesn't warrant it. There is plenty of demand for Beretta's, SIG's, and Glock's but HK pistols don't move in volumes. Their sales to LE is limited enough that it doesn't warrant a US production plant.

BerettaNut92
January 24, 2003, 09:03 PM
Hk probably doesn't sell much because their prices are too high because they manufacture overseas, and I don't know what's involved, but instead of selling stuff they kinda sit around.

I'd love to give them 2 months of pay easily on another P7 and a pair of P2000s, but you can't find them anywhere.

I would love to see HK make the HK32A2. Chad Haire did a short story on that gun in The Complete Book of Assault Rifles in 1988. The same size as a 93 but is in 7.62x39. The company would make money.
