I live in Michigan... Is there any way to do this as an AOW?

Since you are starting with a shotgun (intended to be fired from the shoulder) I believe your only choice is a SBS.

Well thats what I was afraid of. Unless I can get a hold of a unfinished receiver i'm out of luck.

Denny's Guns built some of those as AOW about 7-10 yrs ago and there are always the original Ithaca Auto Burglars out there they are aows as well. A little searching could find what your looking for.

Can it be registered as a Destructive Device? Can you say that you want it to fire explosive shells?

Might want to credit that second picture to me. ;)
Anyway, yes, there are ways to do what you want, NONE cheaply. You're looking at $1,200, minimum, if you get lucky, not including the $5 stamp. I'll keep my eyes open for virgin receivers, if I see any I'll let you know by posting in this thread. :)

On a side note, you may want one but you do NOT want to fire it with anything other than Aguila mini-shells if it's a 12ga.
I had a 16ga and my wrist still hurst just thinking about it...

That's because you have the coolest and most unusual stuff :) Never seen anything like most of them.
