I'm tooling up to take my Anschutz 1770 for serious target shooting at 100 and 300 metres.
Which ammo should I use? (barrel length 50 cm or 20", 1 in 12 rifling)?
Does Boattail ammo offer any advantages?
Does anyone have serious self-loading tips?
Scope: Up to now, the scope is going to be the Leupold mark4 or the Schmidt & Bender PMII with an edge on the S&B.
Leupold mk4, 4.5-14x50 is 1667 €, S&B PMII 4-16x15 is 1870 €
Any thoughts?
Currently, i'm getting 1.5" groups at 100 metres standing off a harris bipod with NikkoStirling optics and S&B 55grs FMJ factory ammo, trigger is set at 2.5 lbs.
