Went shooting today with my brother. Brought my AR and he brought his 1911.
After about 100 rounds through AR, it went “click”, I pulled the bolt back thinking it was a dud. Nope, rifle failed to chamber a round. There was no shell in the barrel. I thought nothing of it. 200 rounds later she did it again. So in about 350 round session two “clicks”.
It’s BCM 20 inch upper, TNW lower, USGI mags and tula (Russian) 55rg ammo. I did fire all the ammo in about 10 minutes, just to see how well she would take it. A side form the two FTF she did good, got REALLY hot, I mean it was starting to burn my hand trough the hand guard.
I blame ftf on ammo, I think it short cycled the bolt far enough to cock the hammer, but not enough to grab new round. If you guys think that it maybe something else, please fill free to let me know.
Now my brother had a problem with his rock island 45. Out of 50 fmj’s two failed to completely chamber. Both were last round in a mag. I told him get a couple of new factory mags and see what happens.

It sounds like a Mag problem. The spring might need to be replaced or new follower.

What problem?:D

Chances are there is nothing wrong with your rifle. Try a Magpul Pmag. Federal 55gn FMJ (Walmart), and clean/relube.

You can try different buffers as well, but save that for later.
