Any reason to use this over a 223? I can't stop wanting one, I just can't justify it.

Buddy of mine has one.

Flatter trajectory from teh higher velocity. He gets 4000fps from his handloads.

.22-250 /.220 Swift trajectory with .223 recoil & blast.(maybe a tick less IMO)
.204 component prices & availability have improved to "mainstream", I'm not aware of a single disadvantage it has to .223 on the smaller critters.

And getting Swift trajectory while still watching impact.. All Good!

Great for prairie dogs & gophers.
Not so great for coyotes.

My hunting pard tried it for awhile then went back to his .223, 22-250, or 6mm.

I shoot a 20 Tactical, which has similar ballistic performance. As said above, great for prairie dogs. I love 223's out to about 350 yards. Yep, they'll shoot farther than that, and many will tell you they shoot it successfully past that. I can't. From 350 out to 500 (maybe stretch a little further) a .204 will still knock em down, and will do it even with some wind blowing, and with a much flatter trajectory at that range.
