Mini 14 progression

Started out with this as a stone-stock yr 2000 vintage mini 14.
I added a few goodies (scout rail, red dot, accu-strut).

I just got the ATI stock last week and got it fitted up.

So far so good. The stock fits fine and the gun looks about right to me.

looks nice. I tried to just use Lock-tite on my flash hider. It flew off. LOl so i will be pinning it.

Yeah, I dont really care for the Pin-on brake, the new pin kind of sticks out more than the original, I would prefer to have a threaded on brake. I may get ambitious and take it to a gunsmith and have them cut the barrel to 16in and have them thread it at the same time. I have heard from several forums that cutting the barrel down a bit often helps give better accuracy. Supposedly this is because the barrel effectively gets stiffer because it is shorter. I have a feeling that it might be because the new crown is better than the factory crown.


Anyway, you definitely want to use the pin.
