I need help. I have an old Marlin 81-DL .22 rifle that belongs to my father-in-law. Over the years the aperture has fallen out and has been lost. I need information on where to go to find one. I have checked a couple of the internet sites that offer apertures without luck. I have no idea what size or thread count I will need. I posted this same question several months ago and was given a tip for a guy selling Marlin apertures on Ebay. I could not get him to respond to my emails. I doubt my father-in-law will ever shoot his rifle again but it needs to be complete if at all possible. Can anyone give me some help?

ForumSurfer,

I checked thses two sites and again no luck. The first site did not even list the 81-DL (it lists a newer 81SL instead) and the second site only sells the entire receiver site which they list as "Sold Out". Thanks for the tips.

Mals9, Thanks for the information. I checked out his site and I have ordered an aperture. The price was quite reasonable.
