just got my first 1874 sharps repo. want to put a tang sight on it,but do
not know how to sight in this type of sight.
I have sighted in centerfire rifles for years, but this is different. know how to read the sight scale, but not how to start at 25-50yrds shooting. where do you run up on scale to start?
all suggestions and advise welcomed.

thank you for your time.

Just bore-sight it at 100 yards by looking through the bore and adjusting the tang sight to the same place. Then refine your settings by shooting at the distance you want it to be zeroed.

A tang sight is no different then any other sight or scope.
