I've been a long time reader of this forum but have just now signed up. What a great forum you guys have.

I was wondering around the my local gun show yesterday when I came across a CZ 75 semi-compact. I'm familiar with the CZ 75 B and the Compact version but had never seen a Semi-compact. It looked interesting and I ended up buying it for $450 OTD. I cannot seem to find too much info on this pistol so anything you guys know about this thing would be great to hear. Also, I assume it would take CZ 75 compact holsters but if anyone can confirm this that would be great.

Don't have the compact, but if it's anything like my 75B, you'll have an accurate, reliable shooter.

Interesting. A full sized frame and a compact slide.

Nice find. Maybe you can dig up some info here. How about a range report when you get a chance?

Interesting, but if you ask me, it is compact on the wrong end. ;)

Special run from CZ imported 2 different times from CZ. !st run included a knife with it, the second did not. Basically a full size frame and a compact slide. Takes full size mags. Kadet kit will fit it. I had one at one time. Have days when I regret selling it. Maybe I will come across another some day. Live and learn...................

KC.45,
You got a sweet deal on that pistol. The Semicompact is a compact top on a full size frame, so it should fit in a compact holster.

Lone Haranguer,
Is this what you want? I swapped the slides between my Compact and 75B. Shooting the 75B slide on the Compact frame is different.

Here they are the correct way.

Thanks for all the good info. Does anyone know an estimated value for this gun? I cant find any for sale anywhere online. I'm just hoping I didn't get hosed as I had never seen the semi-compact before I bought this one.

$450 OTD for a CZ-75 is never a bad price. Fear not. :)

Interesting. A full sized frame and a compact slide.

Interesting yes, but IMHO backwards, the grip is what is hardest to conceal. The shorter barrel really only helps if you have to sit down a lot and can't use a shoulder rig.

True dat. I installed my 75B slide on my 75D PCR frame (alloy compact 75 variant). It came out like a Browning Hi Power, long slide and shortened grip, and shot great. However, the longer slide really did nothing as the gun is already scary accurate with its shorter slide and barrel. Interesting and fun experiment though.

I would have to agree that the frame of this gun is the hard part to conceal. Its not a huge deal as it will be mostly a range toy with carry duty reserved for my ultra carry II. It was just a something unique I couldnt pass up.

They are also called Jerry Guns as a guy named Jerry imported or sold many of them.

No better to carry than a 75B because of the long grip, but still an interesting CZ.

I guess that would explain the "Jerry's Special" printed on the tag on the box.

My semi compact is by far my favorite CZ. They are of course the Jerry's special which like others have said was a special order by a distributor. I bought mine for $330 NIB in 2005. The dealer I got it from said no one was buying them because of the full size frame. That is what I like most about the semi compact is you can use full size mags. I don't think it is worth anymore than another limited run CZ like the 40B or 40P. They use to be priced about the same but they have all gone up in price lately. I hope you enjoy yours. I'm on the fence about getting some VZ grips to try out. David

I have one and paid around $400, but they're not too popular and that has driven prices up on Gunbroker (when you can find one).

I like it for the full grip, I'm actually going to make it my dedicated Kadet frame as I recently picked up the smaller Compact. Nothing wrong with any CZ! :D
