I have a new complete colt lower that is marked colt's law enforcement carbine. It is also marked colt defense hartford con. usa.I need to order a decent trigger for it but I'm stumped on what to order. Some mfgs say not for colt others say large pin others say small pin. What size trigger pin does the new colt LE lowers have?

Break out a pair of caliper and measure. it's the only way to make sure on with diameter your receiver has.

Mil standard (small pins) are .154 diameter, if I recall. The large pins were .250, again, if I recall. Unless I'm mistaken, the new Colts have the standard trigger pins (small pins).
Are you looking for single stage or two stage? Duty trigger or precision trigger or a little bit of both.
For a single stage I like the JP and Timney (Chip McCormick too, if you can find one). For two stage, it's Geissele all the way. SSA for duty, SSA-E for duty/precision and Highspeed (DMR is my preference) for pure precision.

Another vote for Timney, but mine's on my distance rifle. Love the break and it makes me want to replace my carbine trigger.
