I stopped by my favorite pawn shop today and walked out with a good condition Cabela's / Investarm SPA 25060 .50 cal Hawken rifle for $80 out the door. It seemed like a good deal, so I thought I would see how it shoots and if need be, I'll go ahead and buy a Green Mountain barrel for it.

The only problem now is that the barrel wedge pin is missing, and I am finding almost nothing on parts for Investarm rifles. The only thing I've found so far is $20 delivered from gun-parts.com and that seems pretty steep for a small brass pin, especially considering what I spent on the gun in the first place.

So my question is how universal are hawken rifle parts from different manufacturers and where should I go for the best buy on a replacement part?

Are you saying that the barrel wedge is missing or that the pin that keeps the wedge from comming all the way out is missing?

I believe that the wedge and the wedge pin are different names for the same part.
I would be very surprised if a TC wedge pin didn't fit the Lyman.
That would be available from many TC retailers for $5 or less.
Dixie Gun Works sells a generic brass one for $4.75 that fits TC guns:

And an iron TC wedge pin for $4.50:

On page 21 of the Lyman manual, there's a section about how to properly fit a wedge pin with illustrations. Just ignore the warning about opening up the pdf file, I've opened it up many times without any problem.

I've always had to considerably file down new wedge pins to get them to fit, but every gun is different. I wouldn't adjust the wedge plates unless there was no other way.

Thanks Arcticap - I just placed my order for half the delivered price I found, and the only reviewer said he purchased his for a Cabela's Hawken rifle. I really appreciate the tip!

My Lyman's GPR has two wedges that stay tight as a drum until I am walking through tall grass or snow. I have bought several extras just for that reason. I got them through Dixon Muzzleloading.
