I'm watching this History Channel show Tales of the Gun. Specifically the "Million Dollar Guns" episode. So of course they showcased the .45ACP Luger. I'm wondering if any company has, does or has announced a reproduction of that wonderful peice of weaponry. I think it'd be a big moneymaker amongst WWII weapons collectors, semi-auto collectors and history buffs.

Just google ".45 Luger" and you'll find that several companies have recreated them over the years.

The problem is that a Luger is such a labor intensive pistol to build that the recreations price themselves out of the market. At one time, somebody was sawing original lugers in half to widen them for the .45. They are out there if you have deep pockets.

I think Mr. Martz made a few .45ACP P-38's, too.
