Yeah, I'd like to make my own. Thought it would be a little easier if somebody had made their own. Any help out there? It'll be used for a M-16/M-4.

If you mean the assault-type to allow for immediate transition to handgun without your long gun hitting the ground, then the link provided by Andrew wyatt looks as if it's your answer.
If you mean the sporting type providing for shooting use of a loop sling without a lot of time consuming maneuvering, as with the Ching Sling, this is another thing. It is equally inexpensive to make. Do a search on the Ching Sling. I found an illustration under either Milt Sparks leather, or Galco, or perhapsin connection with an article by or about Eric Ching.
I converted the nylon web sling which came with my Savage Scout to this type. I think my only outlay was for a a D-ring, a few binder screws or "Chicago Rivets," and an extra sling swivel and screw-in stud.
Since you mention using this with an M4, I suspect you mean the former application. I'm not sure where you'd mount the center swivel for the Ching Sling application. If you mean the latter, let me know and I'll try to post an illustration.
Best,
