to a silencer ? What ammo is specified for this one ? I bet this is great for small game hunting at closer range.

Suppressor/Silencer same thing. This looks just the the AWC Amphibian, I'm sure it would be lots of fun for small game. Before purchasing make sure you are familiar with all the requirements of NFA firearms and ownership.

Also be familiar with hunting laws, as most states do not allow hunting with suppressed firearms.

"Silencer" was a trademarked name by Mr. Maxim for his products. Kind of like saying Kleenex for a facial tissue.

The muzzle crown on that particular pistol looks funky.

It looks rifled, but it shouldn't be.

Many states won’t let you hunt game animals but you can still use suppressors for varmints and other non game animals. I have a suppressed Ruger II but I threaded the barrel so I could move it from gun to gun. It also cost much less.

Why does the auction say "mark 2/mkII" repeatedly while the pistol is clearly a mark 3/mkIII?

And what's up with the non-relevant pictures?

And why a pack of federal 550 bulk? I like Fed550, I shoot a BUNCH of Fed550, but it isn't what I imagine 'd feed a suppressed $1000 gun ... is that good ammo for a suppressed gun? (I genuinely don't know, suppressor experts please chime in)

The end cap on the muzzle is keyed so a hex wrench can remove it for accessing the baffle stack for cleaning is my guess.

I bet the actual barrel length is 4" or less under the integral tube to help keep rounds subsonic. Maybe that's why he's showing the 550's?

For that kind of $, I would hope it cycled subsonic & standard velocity ammo too.

That pistol looks nice. My 22lr silencer fits all of my 22 rimfire guns, but I want to buy a Ruger MkII or III and make an integral silencer for it. Any 22lr should work well in it and stay subsonic, except possibly the CCI stinger.

I'm sure the Rugers cycle just fine with standard velocity ammo like the Buckmarks do.

The feds use the words silencer and muffler to describe sound suppressors in the regulations. Suppressor is not used anywhere in the regs to describe silencers.

Looks nice, but I'd pass. That muzzle looks boogered up from a unfirmly placed hex tool for takedown. Though integral units looks are nice as they are unseemless, yet for that price you can get two great cans that can be applied to multiple hosts for $1000. I'd get a SilencerCo Sparrow and maybe a Gemtech Alpine or SWR Specre for the same price as this used dedicated unit. I'd only consider it if he covers the stamp tax.
