I found your forum a couple weeks ago. I read all the posts about the Ultimak scope mount for the m1 carbine. Has anyone who bought the mount tried it yet? Sven posted pictures of his carbine with the scope mounted, but I can't find any posts as to how it worked out at the range. I have a very small collection of carbines (5) and have wanted to try a scope on one for a long time. Do you think I would be better off with the B-Square or S&K receiver mount? Please let me know of your results with the Ultimak or if you have just not tried it out yet. Thanks.

I mounted a scope on my carbine and I was unhappy with it. It had to mount high to clear ejecting shells, and it was awkward for me, with no cheek weld to the stock, and I always managed to bump it on everything.
Some time in the future I would like to mount a scope "scout style". A pistol scope in front of the action. I think it can be mounted low enough there for me to enjoy the looks and operation.
