Easy way to break in a new leather holster. Buy some wax paper. First check the wax paper with your fingernail to see if both sides are waxed, or only one side. Place the unwaxed side of the paper against the gun and wrap the gun with the paper. Insert it into the holster, and put it away for a day.
Second way..insert the weapon in a dress sock and wrap it tightly and put the wrapped gun in the leather holster. Put it away for a day.
The very thin wrap of waxed paper will increase the outside dimensions of the gun slightly when it is in the holster and allow it to stretch the leather a small amount. The dress sock will do the same thing, but will stretch the holster a miniscule amount further.
EVEN EASIER...WEAR THE GUN IN THE HOLSTER ALL THE TIME.
MY MOTTO...ALWAYS CARRY-NEVER WITHOUT!

I just bought a new Simply Rugged holster for my Ruger P90 A month ago or so and when I tried it out it was so freaking tight that I couldn't even draw it with two hands it just pulled my pants up around my neck haha. I called them up and they told me to wrap my gun in a plastic bag of some kind and coat the inside of the holster with Pam cooking spray then stick the wrapped gun in the holster and leave it for 24 hours. After I did this it fits perfect and the oil soaked into the leather so you can't even tell that I ever sprayed it on there.
