Hey everyone I have a G21 and I have no clue how how to take the mags apart to clean them. I appreciate any help I can get here.

Important step is squeezing the sides of the mag body.

Just took the Glock Certified Armorer's Course. Per our instructor...Don't take them apart unless absolutely necessary. You can buy new ones for $24.99. Unless you have dropped them in the mud, they don't need cleaning. I have actually dropped them in the mud during a class, and guess what... they still worked.

With all due respect, this doesn't make much sense to me if you are talking about my carry guns. When the instructor said "absolutely necessary" he is refering to when it quits working properly. I can't wait that long to clean the mag on the gun I rely on to save my life. Absolutely necessary gets me killed if it happens when I pull my gun to protect myself from harm. Just saying...

+1 on the GTUL (http://www.mygtul.com/).

If you want an easier way to dissassemble and maintain your Glock magazines, then get a GTUL (https://www.mygtul.com/products.php).
