here's is online 2A stance:
"The Second Amendment must be protected. Law abiding citizens have the Constitutional right to protect and defend themselves from harm. "
I've emailed him and asked him to elaborate on that ........

I think we'll definitely be interested in his reply...
I'm afraid I'm a tad cynical when it comes to politicians and what they say they "stand" for.

Subject: Cain's Stance on 2A and gun rights
"The Second Amendment must be protected. Law abiding citizens have the
Constitutional right to protect and defend themselves from harm. "
The above is a quote from your website. I need you to please elaborate on
this - what "infringements" would you place on our 2A right, if any. You
see , President Bush is also a Republican who "supports" our 2A. Preident
Bush has said he will renew the so called "assault weapon" ban. What about you?
Just saying the above doesn't really say much. The democrats are now saying that also but with a twist of we need "safety" laws and " 'reasonable' gun control" laws......... need to know just how much you WILL stand by our Second Amendment RIGHT !?!?!?!
Any other comments?

Barring a crappy stance on "assault weapons" or something he sounds like a winner. I figure having a pro-2nd Amendment statement right up on his main stances list is a good thing... Seems like a good southern conservative to me, will be checking up for more info before any elections...

From what I've heard of him so far, he sounds like a good guy overall.

Sounds good, but then so did Bush.

I haven't heard back from him yet. I ran into Marston Tuck, president of CSG today at the gunshow. CSG said they sent out questionaires to each of the candidates. So far Mac Collins is the ONLY one responding and with all correct pro gun answers. One person I know we do NOT want in there is Johnny Issackson.

Remember when Hillary was pitching her health care plan, and she responded to a question about it's potentially negative effect on small or medium size businesses by saying that she "couldn't take responsiblity for the fate of under-capitalized businesses"? Well, Herman Cain's the guy who asked her the question. I like him, a lot. I'm interested in hearing about his response to WAGCEVP's question.

Hi -
Fellow Georgian here. Just got a card from him the other day. What can you tell me about him? Trying to see who I'll be supporting. Thanks.

Bill , Issackson is no friend to gunowners. I will get the gory details from CSG and post them here :) , OK?

Johnny Isakson is bad news. When he was a state legislator he actually had an anti-gun voting record.
He's not been a whole lot better since he got elected to Congress. He was the only Republican from a pro-gun district in Georgia who voted for the federal triggerlock mandate.
For gun owners, it's pro-gun Mac Collins by a long shot.

I worked with him for a few years and wrote a few of his speeches to industry trade groups.
He was the head of the "other" NRA, the National Restaurant Association for several years. He was Chairman of Godfather's Pizza and has run a few other foodservice related ocmpanies. He is flashy, out spoken and self promoting in a fun way, not obnoxious (Big surprise in a would be politician, huh?).
He refers to himself as "The Herminator" and produced his own introduction video for speeches using the tag. (I am not making that up). He is fairly conservative and a big believer in personal responsibility.
He has also been a big supporter of Multicultural groups over the years. I don't know where he stands on Affirmative Action.
His real stance on the 2nd is unknown to me at this point.
