surfing Oleg's site at work... heh...

Yesterday I hit that wall around 4PM - you know, where you lose energy to keep pushing ahead at work? - so I grabbed a Diet Dr. Pepper and pointed my web browser over to the High Road.

Shortly, thereafter, I found my way to Oleg's Site (http://www.a-human-right.com/) and then pretty soon had one of his new images up on the screen.

-

At that moment, my business partner D. decides to get up and stretch and comes over near my area. It's not like I'm going to minimize Oleg's site (thought I would?), so.... naturally enough, he soon sees the image and is drawn in.

"What's that?"

"Oh, it's one of my friend Oleg's pictures."

Backgrounder: D. hails from Marin County and is in his early 40s. He is very cool in general but has expressed anti-gun feelings before.

D. is sort of taken back, and walks away, saying "Huh". I could tell he was thinking.

He didn't really say anything. Recalling this situation, I realize yet another reason I like Oleg's art: it forces _everyone_ to think, not just pro-gun folks.

Though anti-gun rights people naturally don't seek out this sort of information, when they _do_ see it, they have no choice but to confront their own belief structure / world view / assumptions.

Now if someone would put Oleg's images onto stickers...

We must "force" 'em to eventually see the light.

Gently though, & Oleg's works do just that.

She's back in Minnesota, she was in LA for a little while for part of a tour, but may possibly move out here some time this year.

I wish I had the photographic talent Oleg does. I try, but I just can't get to that level.

In case anyone here doesn't know, that's our very own Tamara wielding that scattergun.

That scattergun is blown up in comparison to the model, isn't it. Looks to be about 8 gauge. Didn't know they made a pump in that size.

Is there a place that has a collection of Oleg's pictures? I read the site A LOT, but it would be cool if there was someplace i could go to get just pictures of his for my background at work easier than going through all the pages.
Then again, maybe i'm just lazy. :D

geekswithguns.com made a screensaver out of Oleg's images. It's great.

A sheeple did complain to my boss about it, though, so I don't use it at work anymore. Instead, I use Oleg pics as my desktop, and don't use a screensaver at all :)

Tamara rules!

Too bad it was too late when me and Twoblink met Danielle or we woulda had a range night and posted a picture of her ultra Teutonicness with my P7M8.

Tamara,

Is that Enfield a .303 or a .30-06?

At my place of work numerous people have Oleg's work up as their wallpaper, but then again, it is a gun company....
