I'm a life member and admit that I could be happier with the leadership. That being said, are there GOOD candidates for the board with a #1 priority of RKBA? There are enough skeet shooters on the board. Who is worthy, and who is not, and why?

I'm a Life Member as well. I don't know any of these people (granted there are some famous names but I don't really know them). Read their bio's and make a choice on that basis. That's what I do. I actually read them. Being from California, we used to get 200 page voter pamphlets for politico's. You had to read and figure it out for your self in most cases.

I really miss those "don't vote for" lists the NRA BOD used to put out. Made my life a lot easier...just run down the line and vote for everyone they hated

Knox makes a great write-in candidate.

I think we should write in Neal Knox and leave the rest blank.

Vote for someone who started or worked for a grassroots group.
Secondly, vote for people who have been in the news who have been fighting before Congress at the public hearings.
Vote for the person who will sweat for the sunsetting of the Assault Weapons Bill.

I never vote for the target shooters or the Boone and Crockett guys.

For the people who missed it, Don't vote for General Joe Foss. He was buried at Arlington this week. RIP

I agree with adding in Neal Knox!!

But also read the Bio's. I will not vote for anyone that is not a PAYING MEMBER!!! I think everyone we elect should be putting in their fair share.

No Honorary Nonsence!! You can't get paid unless you pay!!

Had the same question last week. You have a couple of better suggestions here!

Still - w/26 slots and 31 candidates (30, now that Foss died), what's the diff? So, I write in Knox, 25 other people -how many like Foss with one foot in the grave?- will get in. Seems like who ya know and who ya blow (or if your a celebrity) gets you selected for candidacy. Guys who run the election committee are the ones in control. Notice that there are more candidates on the ballot than write ups. So even if you get on the ballot, they can ignore you? I would imagine that no one or issue that has ever been officially opposed or ignored by the RIFLEMAN editors ever gets enough votes.

I am sorry to admit that I am an Endowment Life member, and dont know anymore about how this organization works than when I was an annual member.
