I bought a bunch of reloading stuff, with the intention of selling most of it, and there's a number of boxes of brand new Federal 6x47mm virgin nickel brass cases. Can I neck this stuff down, trim it and use it for blasting ammo in my AR?
Just kidding! Is there any demand for this caliber? Anyone know what a fair price is for brass like this? I couldn't find a lot of info on it, and most of the search results on google were for a 6x47 Lapua, which looks to be a completely different animal.

You sure it isnt 6.5x47 ..

Federal did a run of 6X47 back in the late 60's or early 70's, nickel plated. It is just like all nickel plated brass; if you start necking up or down, the nickel cracks prematurely. I have several hundred pieces of that brass but I prefer to neck up R-P 222 Magnum brass cases for my 6X47. Trade it, someone will buy it. List it in the classifieds.

This must be exactly what it is, all new and shiny, 19 boxes. It's something I will never use; maybe I'll put in on gunbroker or something.
