Howdy,

How do they hold up using heavy loads?

Thanks,

I can't say I've heard anything on durability with these. I have read that they have a short cylinder, which limits bullet selection to 250 grains and under. I've played with them at the gun shops and they look like a neat piece. I always thought one of these with the 2" bbl would make a nice carry gun.

I have owned and shot the .44 Mag Tracker and mine was a very nice gun.

That said , I do not believe in shooting heavy magnum loads through the smallest frame .44 magnum being made today. I considered mine as a .44 Special that I could shoot some .44 mag thru if I wanted to. If I was wanting a gun for heavy loads in the magnum, I would get a larger frame model.

I have a 4" I purchased used...nice revolver and the ports help tame it down with 240 mag's. Specials are a dream to shoot and I too consider it more of a .44 Spl than a .44 mag. I've heard/read heavy mags are are not to be used, i.e. BB, Garret, etc.

Don't know about durablility, but I would own one if it could be had without the ports.
