I did a search and found no answer to my question. I just got a used
Bushmaster AR 15 and the trigger pull seems a little heavy. I don't have a gage but guessing I wsould think it is in the 6-7 lb range. Is this normal? I was hoping for around 4 lbs. Thoughts?

randy that IS normal for a standard trigger. and it's not that heavy compared to other military rifles. even the rules for service rifles in NRA/CMP competition require a minimum of 4.5 lbs pull.

that said, most people like their guns to have lighter triggers.

For many of us, smoothness and crispness is FAR more important
than weight.
Most AR15 triggers feel like dragging an old sofa up a gravel driveway.

bend the springs like the sarge at home video, then install a set screw in the grip to take out the takeup and creep and you can get a very nice 3# trigger for about 50 cents. or at least I did. it's been reliable.
