Recently, my son went to Cabelas to pick up some 12 ga primers. When he got home he discovered they had given him magnum primers instead of regular. Anyone know how we can use them?:confused::confused:

Follow a recipe you find in a reloading manual that uses the primer you bought. If will contain a brand/type of primer, case,wad, weight of shot, and type of shot used. http://www.shotgunworld.com :)

Use only a recipe that matches your primer/wad/powder/hull combo.

First things first - what hull, powder, wad and shot are you using in what gauge?

Sometimes things are interchangeable, but this is NOT like metallic.;
