I was wondering whether or not there is anything I can do on my own to lessen the DA trigger pull on my new 637. I am very mechanically inclined, and have worked with guns before, but have little experience with revolvers, so if it's likely to be over my head let me know.

Any websites with info, give me a heads up.

I recommend http://www.gunsprings.com/1ndex.html

It's worth your while to talk to the good folks at Wolff.

Smooth is always more important than light. There are videos and books available if you want to do it yourself. Learn before you work on the gun . A simple spring exchange is not the way to go.

One key word is "new". I suggest that before doing anything you drop in some good gun oil and work that action a few hundred times.

Like Jim Keenan says, working the action will help.

Imho, a lightweight revo always is harder to hold steady becuase it's so dang light. Nevertheless, a good bit of practice on double action shooting will steady you up and you'll be able to shoot a lot better with heavier revolvers due to your mastery of a light DA revolver. It's worth the practice and your friends will scratch their heads and wish they could shoot like you do.
