Para trade - was it a good one?

I have a new addition to the safe. I got this with 2 mags and a Fobus owb holster on a trade for my M&P 9mm Compact, 400 rds. of ammo and a Kholster.

I have never owned a Para before. I wasn't aware that they offered this model based on the 1911 but with the LDA (light dual action trigger).

I have to say that the trigger is the smoothest, lightest (feels like it's around 3-3 1/2 lbs.) dual action trigger that I've had the pleasure to own.

I really like the bobbed hammer and the smoothed edges for CCing. Now I just have to get me another 9mm so I'll have something to shoot all the ammo I've accumulated.

Anyone own one of these? Are there any problems to look out for?

Para opinions vary, but my experience with them was positive. I did fire some overly hot handloads through one and ruined the extractor and ejector, but that can't be blamed on the firearm (though my Kimber digested the rounds just fine).

I'm not a fan of the LDA trigger...but it sure is better than the trigger on my glock. I like my 1911's to have regular old 1911 triggers, but ymmv. All the same, that's a sweet weapon you have there. I'd like to use one for a few hundred rounds to see how I like it. It looks to be especially comfortable for carry.

But yes, that's a trade I would have made. We like what we like and if you like the para, enjoy it. With the ammo you tossed in, the trade looks to be fair from both sides.
