Greetings All-
Anyone tried this fast burning handgun powder~? Seems like a good
candidate for most handgun applications~!

I use it in some handgun loads. Works OK.

5.5gr of S-1000 under a 200gr LSWC is .45 Colt goodness. Works well in .45ACP, too.

Extremely clean, often times very accurate, goes a long way, bulky, meters well enough..... Well worth trying for many target apps.

I haven't tried any, but it's supposed to be a very good, well priced target powder.

Solo 1000 is reverse temperature sensitive. It produces lower velocities in higher temperatures. In temperatures over 100 degrees it can be extreme. It's good for bunny fart loads in cool temperatues

I've used Solo 1000 in 45 ACP, .40 S&W, and 9mm. It's a good powder, but not magical. IIRC, the standard container is 14 oz. So you don't get a full pound, so it should be cheaper.
Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
