Our friends at Buds are selling NIB Sig P250's for $407. I have limited experience with Sigs, but this seems like an unbelievable deal.

I've been looking for a .45 and perhaps I should jump on this. What are your thoughts?

If you like SIG and you like DAO, it's a great deal. If not, then you may want to look elsewhere

Me, I would LOVE to have a SIG P250 sub-compact .45ACP, but I have yet to see one

My friend has a P250 in 9mm and he loves it. I've shot it a few times and it shoots very nice, although it's not a gun I can see myself owning.

$407 doesn't seem like a bad deal though.

Oops. Didn't realize this was DAO. DAO is a deal-breaker for me. Never again.

I was at the local shop this morning and they had a .45 and a 9mm (compact), both priced at $370 (NIB)... but I don't do DAO pistols either.

I got one for a firesale price and actually like it quite a bit... for an "inexpensive" gun.

P250s did not do well in the recent ATF pistol trials. These guns had a really, really high failure rate. I'd be careful. I think that your money would be better spent investing in an m&p or a glock. These were the pistols that won equal contracts in these trials. This was an unbiased torture test and both the m&p and glock models came out looking really good...

The P250 is the only pistol that I've never heard anything good about.

They don't sell well, they're overpriced, and for the American market the whole "interchangeable" frame thing is neat, but not needed. ESPECIALLY when the frames cost as much as a new gun.

Might be nice if you live in Chicago. Otherwise, useless.
