In around 1982 my girlfriend ordered me a custom made Bali-Song from Benchmade (I believe). It's a Weehawk style blade, brass fittings and whiteish inserts in the handle. I've had it stored away for the last 20 years after almost cutting of a digit with it.
Any ideas where I can get some info on it?

Benchmade was called pacific cutlery back then. Here are a few of their old catalogs.

I still have my Bali-Song, Inc. Roswell St., Los Angeles, CA Has the weehawk blade black inserts also has the as I understood the hand made leather sheath . I remember took around 8 months from time I ordered till I got . I ordered first of 1981 was right at 200 dollars. I have limited use of my hand today so not to much flipping any more . Their still out their I always wanted the fix blade weehawk . When it was out But never got one.
Was most expensive knife I ever bought .Only made 5 bucks a hour then.
