I will be loading the .480 for hunting, most likely using heavy bullets (350gr and up). I want a heavy hard hitting load. For the .357, I might work up some defensive loads, but I mainly enjoy making thunder and lightning on the range with a snubby .357. I am considering Lil' Gun or H110, but any Alliant, IMR, or Hodgon powder is easy to get in my area. Thanks for the input!

W296/H110 will work very well for both as will 4227.

I Don't know about the 357... but the 480 H110 is great.

I just bought and loaded some with 300MP which states much higher vels.. but I have not shot any yet

2400, H110/296 or Lil Gun would be fine. I'd lean towards H110 because there is more data available for it than any other powder. Unique for mid-range loads.

Accurate #9 seems to have some good loads for both calibers. Its a slow burning pistol powder that makes for some nice magnum loads.
