I found little used Charles Daly piece with matte black finish and nice rear express-type blade and large front white dot sights. What kind of finish is this and are these durable and reliable guns? The price of $325 seems pretty attractive. Thanks.

these were made by FEG (Hungary) and finished by Charles Daly but everything I had read about them was that they were fine Hi Power clones...I'd get a nice one for that price...
CDNN has Browning's for $699 right now...

The Charles Daly is not a genuine FN Hi Power. It was an FEG copy. Both FEG & CD are belly up.
In general it is among the best of the Hi Power copies/clones.

You have to call them. You need to sign up for their email sales bulletins to get notice of non catalogued stuff.

if that's 325 out the door snap it up. nearly all HP parts interchange. Last I saw on gunbroker they were running 400+
the only real problems with the FEG's was that the steel wasn't all that hard or good. if you shoot a whole lot the pins can bend and break and the holes can loosen up. but pins can be replaced.
if you can get it to me for 350 I'll take it.

Didn't wanna pay what a FN made Mk3 cost I got this for 400$ new in box all tax and fee;s! Metal is better than the FEG and so far 3K thugh mine and no issues, I did toss the mags as they were crap!

Someone in the USA needs to start making HP clones. I'd buy them in a heartbeat. FN USA wants $700 for their paint-job on the new HP MK III. When I buy an HP I'm looking for as close to the original I can get. If I want to buy tactical or camouflage, I'll buy a Glock and paint it!

Thank you for the info. I decided to purchase S&W 99 in 9x19 instead.
