This is the gun I learned to shoot on. It has been in the family for longer than I have been alive. I still use it for target practice, and it is the most reliable handgun I have ever owned.

I have read a few threads and looked at some of the gun auction sites, and these run between $350 and $2500. That is a large value range for the same pistol.

Anyone know the history behind these and the actual fair market value?

My grandfather told me that he thought that these were issued during WWII to soldiers as training weapons. But I have no idea if that is true.

Thanks
