Im looking to buy an M4. I need it to be safe and reliable (for accidental drops etc) but it also needs to not cost a lot. Anyways I asked a while back for some help finding a gun. I liked several of the options but decided I would look some more myself. I found this on buds http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/60903

Now here where I need your input, would you say this is a safe weapon? a reliable one? and Obviously it accomplishes saving money.

Can anyone tell me why its so cheap as well?

I really like the guns look and the 22 LR makes me want it more since ammo will be cheap and I just like shooting at the range anyways.

So really just give me your honest opinion on this gun from what you read. I appreciate all help and input.

would you say this is a safe weapon? Eh, no such thing IMO. All guns are either safe or dangerous; you decide. I believe there are only safe shooters/gun owners. You are the safety. Having said that, it's not like this thing is made of inferior materials rendering it unsafe to use commercial ammo in. So in that regard, I'd say it is perfectly safe.

a reliable one? Should be.

Can anyone tell me why its so cheap as well? Imported. Built by Walther IIRC. Since it is a 22LR, it doesn't need to be built to the same level as a 'real' M4.

I prefer the S&W15-22 to the Colt/Walther. It is not imported. Here's the Smith: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/61689

is this the S&W 15-22 you are talking about http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/61690 ?
If so why would you pick this over the other?

I would go with a del-ton m4 and a 22 lr conversion kit
