I recently bought online an unusal Mosin. The reciever is marked As a '33 Tula. It looks like any other MN 91/30 except that it has a front sight base like a M91. The rifle is 48.5" inches long, just as any other MN. I can't figure out why a rifle made well after the Conversion of M91's in 1930 would still have the older sight. The rear sight is the regular flat version.
Has anyone ever seen a similar rifle? Sorry I cant post pics, but as I say, it looks like ant other M91/30 except for the front sight.
All help appreciated.

Replacement front sight.
Does it have a Finn "SA" stamp? The Finns regularly replaced frot sights on Mosins with the 91's hoodless blade, as it gather'd no snow.

Also, the predacessor to the 91/30 variation, the "Dragoon" was what the 91/30 series was based apon and they had the blade front sight, though not the updated rear sight. Many Dragoons were directly converted to 91/30 with new sights, front and back.

No, It doesn't have the SA stamp on it. Not a Finn. I think the M91 was a bit longer than a 91/30. I don't think the dragoons were still being produced in 1933. I've just never seen one quite like this.

The Dragoons were not being built in '33, but they were being rebuilt into 91/30's in 33, as were out of spec '91's were also recycled into 91/30's.

An M-91s front sight base and a 91/30's are essentialy the same+, as the rifles on my wall show.....The front sight was simply replaced, for whatever reason with a '91 front blade.
The 91/30's hooded front sight can also be afixed into the dovetail of the M-91's front sight base.
With no "SA" or "D" stamp, you most likely have a rifle that somebody here in the US replaced.

Thats what I understand, according to your desription, but pix woud be mucho helpo.
Gotta love any and all variations of the Mosin .....
