Hi, I shoot in a Regional and National competition almost every year with the American Criminal Justice Association - Lambda Alpha Epsilon. I believe our rules are a hybrid between a couple different divisions, not really sure. I shoot my Glock 17 regularly (sometimes I use a friends Kimber 45 ACP) and really enjoy shooting competitions but would like to shoot more than two per year. Anyone have any advice on which division I might like to try? And any locals to central florida that know of competitions that are held regularly and open to the public? Any information would be great, always willing to listen to helpful advice.

Here is a link to our national firearms page, so you have some idea on the competition I'm used to.

You might check in at the Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club right there in Orlando.
They shoot IDPA, IPSC/USPSA, and ICORE every month.
These are action shooting sports with a good deal more movement and variety than you are accustomed to. The match you link is a derivative of PPC shooting which has been around since the 1930s.

You can always check out Volusia County Hunt and Gun Club and Flager Gun Club.
Iirc, they do both IDPA and carbine matches.

If you're on the East side of Orlando you might want to check out the Titusville R&P club.
