The guy I work with has a 14 yr old boy and 12 yr old girl. The boy has been shooting for a couple years. First day for the girl.
Started her out with my SA 1911 with the Ceiner top.

She finished up with my S&W 19-3 .357 with powder puff .38s. Yes, she flopped a steel plate.

The boy is sighted in with his .308 for an elk hunt this weekend

Nice pics...the young lady looks tickled to be holding that revolver, she had fun! Very cool outing.

It's always good to see new faces in the sport.
Isn't amazing how people take to the revolvers? My wheel guns bring a smile to both my daughters' faces too. The biggest grins come from the S&W M19 (in .38 spl)and the 1858 Remington in .44.

Good job and good photos, as I can almost hear exactly what you're saying in both with the young girl while shooting the 1911
How did she like the 1911..?

She loves it. I put Ed Brown ignition parts in it right after i bought it a few years ago. It runs the .22 almost exclusively now. I figure it's about a $1,600 .22, but it sure shoots well.
I told her my own 27 yr old little girl has first dibs on it when I'm no longer shooting.

Her smile says everything. How well does the 19 fit her hand? Just curious. Had one for years that never quite fit my wide, but short hand. No matter what grips I put on.

3rd picture down smiles all around. Does it really get any better then that?
I can't wait until my kids are old enough to go shooting with me.

I put the Ahrends retro combat grips on the 19, and a Wolff kit for mainspring and rebound spring. I have small hands. The girl couldn't reach the trigger reliably for D/A, but had no trouble with the S/A.
