N e one have the same problem here? just bought a tcp and I am so far unhappy with it. every mag at least 1 FTE or if lucky a round doesnt eject all the way making for a easy clear atleast.

and the ammo is? have you tried more than one mag in it?

so far a whole box of lawman fmj and a few mags of gold dot. stopped there to put some lead down range with my ithaca 37, which always delivers :)

alright i'm heading to bed be back tomarrow hopefully i can sort it out. I really want to like this gun its pretty awesome except for not ejecting lol :( :) hey if this is my biggest problem i'm doing pretty good.

I have a TCP and I have had one FTE in 300+ rounds fired. I believe this was because I had not cleaned the barrel/chamber after polishing the feed ramp as well as I thought I had; there was probably some grit left. I am led to believe this as the FTE occurred very early in the shooting session after I had done the polishing. After that, it ran another ~125 rounds with no FTEs. There was also one FTF, but I believe it may have been operator error.

That's two malfunctions in 300+ rounds, and I have good reason to believe that both had causes unrelated to the gun itself.

By the way, it fed Remington Golden Saber JHPs flawlessly.

Some have had issues with the magazine catch failing and causing FTF or FTE problems. This doesn't sound like your problem though. Try using a different magazine. Did you clean and lube it before heading to the range?

When American Rifleman tested a bunch of .380s the only one that didn't malfunction repeatedly was the Rorbaugh(sp?) .380. Other wise their advice was to run two or three hundred rounds through any pocket .380 to break it in.

its been cleaned lubed and polished. Tried different gripping really want it to work buts not looking good lol maybe its me maybe its the gun either way it will get sorta out

My TCP won't shoot Speer Lawman fmj ammo at all. I get at least 3 ftf's with each mag from that ammo. I can shoot any other ammo with no problems, but when I go back to the Lawman stuff then it is jamb city all over again. I bought 4 boxes when I purchased the gun, so I need to shoot 1 more box of 50 to get rid of it & then I will not buy any more of it...ever.

Get rid of the Lawman ammo & get anything else. Heck, I even shot 50 rounds of Tulammo (the cheap Russian steel cased crap) with no problems. You will be happier with your TCP once you shun the Speer Lawman ammo. Trust me...

wont be able to get back out till this week end then i will try some other ammo. thanks for the insights though i hope it works it self out. everything else with your tcp has been on the ups and ups ET?
