Walther PPS is it worth it

Hello all,
I have decided to go with the Walther PPS (9 mm) to replace my Glock 27. I hope I am doing the right thing but the Glock is just too bulky to carry around and I think the slim PPS will make a difference.
My question is, has Walther worked out the problems that they had and does the thinnest make a difference in carry vs the Glock???
What are your thoughts on this switch??????

It's flat I will give them that, but it is ridiculously expensive gun to buy. I have looked at little used second-hand one in .40S&W that cost $525. It was obvious why it ended up in used gun rack. The 9x19 is better choice in this model but I would not bite.

I had one of the initial run models and did not care for the ergonomics of the darn thing. I recently handled one of their updated models and kind of liked it, but still probably would not buy one again.

The PPS is a great carry gun, very easy to conceal. Mine has been 100% reliable.

Great gun and easy to conceal without dressing around it too much, if you have quality IWB holster and a good gun-belt.
Of course, if you're carrying a Glock in a cheap holster and a department-store belt, the PPS won't solve your problems.
It is a bit heavy for the size, according to some, I don't notice, and I've carried that thing on 12+ hour drives, all day while active, and into many places that wouldn't be welcoming to the armed citizen.

I would also look at the Kahr CW9 or P9, they are a little thinner and lighter than the PPS. The trigger on the PPS is more like a Glock. The Kahr has a long, but smooth trigger pull. The Kel Tec PF9 is even thinner. The only things I like about it, is the price and how thin it is, but it isn't much thinner than the Kahr. If you like the Glock, you might want to look at the G36, if you can stand the price of .45 caliber ammo.

The PPS is the real deal. It's reliable, it's dependable, it's accurate, it's easy to conceal, and you can get it in 9mm or .40 S&W. Check out the Walther Forums sub-section on the PPS at:

You'll find the specifics you want to know to make an informed decision.

I have owned my PPS for ~2 years and love this gun, especially the 8 round mag. IMO this is one of the best single stack 9mm's on the market. I have approximately 500 rounds through mine without a single failure. Another gun to consider for concealed carry is the Kahr PM9, which is unbelievably easy to conceal. You will not go wrong with eiither of these pistols.
