has anyone tried it?

I am planning on trying it. Just load up the case as much as possible and shoot it.
However not sure if I will be able to stuff enough into the case to cycle the bolt.

I do not envy you the task of cleaning the corrosive residue from the gas system. I have seen what an uncleaned BP barrel looks like after a wee bit, and would hate to do that to MY rifle.

Cleaning BP is actually quite easy. Havent had an issue with any of my BP guns.

It's not hard to do, in a sealed tube. My point was that disassembling the gas system on the rifle to clean it does not sound like boatloads of fun, and yet ought not be forgotten.

Enjoy! :)

On a Vz 58 it takes about 5 seconds.

I generally try to not clutter up threads with alot of questions about "why" people are asking about something, but I just can't resist this time.

Sooooooooo, why do you want to load 7.62x39 with BP?

Just curious......

Maybe a scifi fan trying to duplicate a scene from Harry Turtledove's Guns Of The South novel?

Not a Sci-fi fan. Just want to create a lot of smoke.
