7.62 x 54 R vs .303 Brit comparison

I just took this one and noticed the 54 R is a tad shorter in case vs the .303 Brit. Both are soft point hunting ammo in 180 gr . But isnt it the 54 R has more velocity and kinetic energy ? Enlighten me on this one.

shorter but fatter. The 7.62x54R has more case capacity

7.62x54R has greater muzzle velocity and energy. Appx 200 FPS greater velocity over .303 using 150 grain bullet.
