Picked up a SIG 238 this morning, so I promptly field stripped it and cleaned it. Like a genius, I pushed the ejector too far down during reassembly, so it popped off the spring.
I took off the left grip, popped out the pin, reseated the spring on the proper side of the ejector, and reassembled it all.
Only now the hammer won't stay back. I followed these instuctions:

It looks to me like I'm not having the sear engage the hammer properly, but like the only way to do this would be to put it back together with the hammer cocked, and that would be VERY difficult to do against the spring pressure.
GRR.
Any ideas?
