.480 ruger srh question

I saw that the ruger srh alaskan was rereleased in .480 ruger with a 5 shot cylinder for added strength, did they do the same to its full length barrel counter part? As I can only seem to find it in a 6 shot.

I believe they did. IIRC, the 6-shot model had issues with cases sticking/not extracting properly so they stopped production and eventually reintroduced it as a 5-shot.

That was the plan but they were never produced. Around 25 five-shot .480 Alaskans shipped but that's it. They're mostly in the hands of collectors who trade them for more than it would cost to have a gunsmith build one.
